Subject: Lotus Notes and Google/Other Calendar Sync?
Feedback Type: Suggestion
Product Area: Notes 8 Client
Technical Area: Customization
Platform: Not Applicable
Release: All
Reproducible: Not applicable

I recently got a new job in IT and at this company we use Lotus Notes for everything and BES for smartphones.

I was given a dumb phone for my job with no plans on ever being upgraded to a blackberry so here's my predicament...

...I want to get the calendar synced with my personal android phone.

I am able to export/import the calendars but meetings are regularly cancelled and rescheduled causing me edit the Google Calendar each time. Additionally, when importing the events I need to edit each one and add my gmail account to the list of attendant for it to send to the phone. It's a workaround, but far from ideal.

I know that there is a Google Calendar Connector for Lotus that should help me out with this but I'm pretty sure that it will conflict with the way our servers are set up with BES.

Is there another or better way to do this? I was thinking there might be something similar to aliasing that could link my gmail account to my company account but I'm not sure where to start looking into that. At least that way I could get the calendar...I don't use the gmail account for email.

As a side note, I'm not committed to Google calendar. It's just what comes easiest with Android.
